Elementary First Aid The aim of the Elementary First Aid course is to give all persons intending to go to sea a basic knowledge of the immediate action to be taken upon encountering an accident or other medical emergencies at sea.

CERTIFICATION
Elementary First Aid covers the syllabus required by the STCW95 Table AVI/1-3. The course covers what to do should you encounter any medical emergencies on-board.
WHAT YOU LEARN
The Elementary First Aid module is a mixture of theory and practical sessions giving you essential knowledge on how to respond to the most common emergencies on board including burns and scalds, broken bones, bleeding and shock. You will also learn the following first aid procedures:
- CPR
- Different bandaging methods
- How to move a patient
- How to improvise when there is no equipment available
